ST. EDWARD – The Omaha Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women is set to hold its 2024 summer meeting on Aug. 6 in St. Edward.
The gathering will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church, 805 Washington St., and hosted by the RSW Deanery. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.; there is a registration fee per person that includes coffee, rolls and a noon luncheon.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m., with Mass set for 11:30 a.m. with a new priest to St. Edward, Father Matt Gutowski. There also will be a speaker, Executive Director Paul Yates of I’ve Got A Name, whose mission is to end sex trafficking in Nebraska and help survivors. All Catholic women are invited to attend and share in the activities of the day with their fellow Council of Catholic Women of the Omaha Archdiocese. Anyone with finished baby blankets, bibs, diapers and Indestructibles books for Christ Child Society layettes are encouraged to bring them.
Attendees also are asked to bring their Parish/Deanery Penny and prayer collections for the Archdiocesan Vocations Fund.
