OSMOND — It’s not too late to be a part of something big this summer. TheAmerican Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Osmond on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the city auditorium. Patients are counting on blood and platelet donors to ensure lifesaving care is ready as soon as it’s needed.
According to Red Cross representatives, all blood types are always needed, but they currently need to fill Power Red supplies for O-, A- and B- blood types. Please come and help fill those supplies!
Save time with Rapid Pass. Complete your pre-donation reading and health history at redcrossblood.org/ Rapid Pass or with the Blood Donor App before your appointment. Read the information and answer the questions. Print out the pass or email it to themselves and bring the day of the mobile.
This can only be completed the day of the drive. Donors who do not bring the printed pass with them or who cannot show it on a mobile device will be asked to complete the whole process again.
All presenting donors who come to a blood drive in August will receive a $20 e-gift card to Amazon.
Reminder: Before donation, get at least eight hours of sleep the night before. Eat a healthy breakfast and-or lunch and drink plenty of fluids in the days before and after the drive.
To schedule an appointment, go online to redcrossblood.org or call Osmond General Hospital at (402) 7483393. Walk-ins will only be allowed if there is an open appointment slot.
