WAUSA – An informational meeting on the Wausa-Osmond Youth Football Program has been scheduled for 2 p.m. July 28 at the Wausa Auditorium.
The meeting is for parents and youth in grades 3-6 who are interested in playing tackle football. Program leaders will meet with parents first to provide information, answer questions and set expectations, followed by signups and equipment try-ons.
As part of this program, third-graders will practice in full equipment, but in a non-contact capacity. Practices will be held twice a week and early in the season on Saturday mornings. Parents will not need to provide equipment for their players other than mouthpieces and shoes.
Practices and home games will alternate between Wausa and Osmond. There will be two games scheduled for each Sunday afternoon in September.
