WAUSA – Even though it is summer, the 2024 Wausa-Osmond football season is around the corner.
According to a cooperative agreement, Wausa-Osmond will compete as the Vikings in Class D1 and play most of their Friday home games in Wausa.
Wausa-Osmond is scheduled to kick off the season with a home game against Wakefield on Aug. 30, which also will be Parents Night.
The Vikings then will travel to play at Stanton on Sept. 6 and at Homer on Sept. 13, before returning home to host Boyd County on Sept. 20 for Wausa’s Homecoming celebration.
A road game on Sept. 27 at rival Bloomfield will be next for Wausa- Osmond, followed by a home contest on Oct. 4 in Osmond against Hartington-Newcastle for Osmond’s Homecoming celebration.
The Vikings then will travel to play at Crofton on Oct. 11 before wrapping up the regular season with a home game against Niobrara/Verdigre on Oct. 18.
