CENTER – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one-vehicle rollover crash that occurred July 9, about 1.5 miles south of the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 84, near Verdigre.
A maroon 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, owned by Bobby Jo White, Temple, Texas, driven by Latosha Jefferson, Temple, Texas, was traveling north on Highway 14 when Jefferson lost control of the vehicle and it rolled three times, ending up in the west ditch.
Verdigre Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Jefferson had to be extracted out of the vehicle with hydraulic rescue equipment and was transported to Avera Creighton Hospital.
The sheriff’s office received a complaint July 3 from Reggie and Valisa Juracek, Creighton.
Valisa Juracek was driving their 2016 Ford Expedition east at about 9 p.m., approximately one mile west of Creighton, when she met a pickup truck with bright lights on and then an object hit her windshield, shattering it.
A possible suspect vehicle is a white, fourdoor pickup with black trim around all four tires.
