WAUSA – The LifeServe Blood Center held a community blood drive on July 2 in Wausa.
The event, held at the Wausa Fire Hall, had 16 donors registered to contribute, and 18 units of life-saving blood collected. The units donated can help save up to 54 lives.
Donors who hit milestones with their most recent contributions include, Jill Claussen, two gallons, and Bill Thierolf, eight gallons.
Dave Carlson and the Wausa fire department helped to coordinate and host the blood drive.
The next Wausa community blood drive is 2-6 p.m, Aug. 27, at the Wausa Fire Hall.
