WAUSA – The Piecemakers Quilt Club met on Dec. 14 at Carmella Kinkaid’s home for a Christmas celebration with games and a gift exchange.
All members brought Christmas goodies to make a gift box for the staff at the Good Samaritan Society’s Sunset View assisted living facility in Bloomfield.
Those present in addition to Carmella were Lois Tangeman, Garnet Anderson, Bonnie Suhr, Jan Hoebelheinrich, Virginia Lindquist and Barb Gillilan.
For show-and-tell, Garnet had a Christmas wall hanging and Lois had her December quilt block.
A treasurer’s report was given. Garnet reported that Children’s Nebraska – formerly Children’s Hospital & Medical Center – in Omaha is in need of blankets for all ages. Also, Osmond General Hospital needs more blankets for cancer patients.
The club’s next meeting is set for Jan. 11 at the Sunset View assisted living facility in Bloomfield. Lois will host.
