CENTER — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a report at about 1:30 p.m., Jan. 5, of a two-vehicle collision occurring at the intersection of Highway 59 and 544th Avenue, about seven miles southwest of Wausa.

Donrel Herbosheimer, 84, Pierce, was driving a motor vehicle north on 544th Avenue and approaching the intersection of Highway 59 and 544th Avenue, while Shawn Morkve, 27, Yankton, S.D., was driving a commercial motor vehicle west on Highway 59.

The investigation revealed Herbosheimer failed to stop at the stop sign for northbound traffic entering the intersection and the trailer attached to his pickup truck was struck by the westbound vehicle.

No injuries were reported by either driver. The commercial vehicle was towed due to disabling damages.
