The water fountain pictured above was given and dedicated in 1990 in the memory of Emil and Esther Broekemeier by their grandchildren. It was placed at the Osmond softball field. Thirty-four years later, Emmelyn Lenhoff, the great-great-granddaughter of Emil and Esther Broekemeier, was playing in a softball tournament on the field by the water fountain on Sunday, June 23. Emmelyn was playing on the Hartington softball team, which took third place in the tournament. Emmelyn is the great-granddaughter of Jim and Margaret Broekemeier of Osmond, granddaughter of Tim and Sue Lenhoff of Randolph and Kevin and Diane Blair of Brunswick, and daughter of Nick and Lindsey Lenhoff of Hartington.
