KEARNEY — On Friday-Sunday, June 7-9, the Nebraska State P.E.O. Convention was held in Kearney. This year, two women from Chapter BE were honored. Jane Fogle of Pierce was recognized for 60 years of membership. Luella Hodson of Osmond was honored as a 50-year member.
Jen Hodson was the voting delegate for the Plainview Chapter FE. She was sitting with the members of Chapter BE at the luncheon to celebrate her mother-in-law, Luella.
Each year at the Nebraska State Convention, an Honors Luncheon is held to celebrate both individuals and chapters with 25 or more years of participation. P.E.O Chapter BE was established in 1912 and both Beverly Kroupa and Kaye Janovy have been honored at the Nebraska State Convention for 50-year membership in previous years.
An evening banquet is held with the highlight being International Project recipients sharing their educational story and the impact of P.E.O. on their journey. P.E.O’s highest purpose is facilitating the education of women through scholarships, loans and grants. Inquiries about these projects can be sent to the local chapter email at [email protected].
