WAYNE – Wayne State College graduates are invited to submit original artwork for the Juried Alumni Art Exhibit being held in conjunction with Homecoming.
The exhibit will run Oct. 4-Nov. 13 at the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, located inside the U.S. Conn Library on campus. There is no application fee for this exhibit. Alumni are encouraged to submit work in any medium, except for works requiring a monitor or screen for display. All entries should be submitted digitally as PDFs, which include the following: an image of the work, the title, the date of creation, the medium and dimensions.
Interested alumni may contact Dr. Andy Haslit at [email protected] for specific submission instructions and a prospectus. Haslit is a professor of art history at Wayne State and the director of the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery.
Submissions will be accepted through July 14, and selected artists will be notified by the end of July. Works must be delivered or shipped to campus by Sept. 20. When the show concludes Nov. 13, artwork may be picked up Nov. 15-16, or arrangements for return shipping may be made.
