Brain injury awareness group to meet in Norfolk

NORFOLK – People are invited to attend the meetings of the Brain Injury Awareness, Healing and Support Group.

NORFOLK – People are invited to attend the meetings of the Brain Injury Awareness, Healing and Support Group.

People who attend these meetings will learn about brain injuries and connect with people who have overcome brain injuries, as well as with caregivers and other awareness allies.

The group typically meets noon-2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month April-October at the Norfolk Public Library. People are welcome to attend entire meetings or just pop in over their lunch breaks, or attend the meetings on Zoom.

The group’s third meeting of 2024 is scheduled for June 26. Craig J. Phillips, director of Second Chance to Live, is set to present “Facing Adversity and Having Options When Life Doesn’t Make Sense.” Jennifer Case, director of Case Studies Productions, is set to present “My Brain Injury Story.” A 100-piece puzzle team challenge also has been scheduled.
