PLATTE, S. D. – Summit Contracting, a South Dakota leader in the construction of farm and grain systems, has announced the completed acquisition of Nebraska- based Petersen Ag Systems. Effective Jan. 1, 2024, this marks a substantial expansion of Summit Contracting’s service areas and product lines into Norfolk and Osmond, NE, and Onawa, IA.

Petersen Ag Systems, which holds a rich and respected history dating back to 1937, will undergo a rebranding to embrace its new identity as part of Summit Contracting. This transition represents not just a change in name, but a continuation of a legacy built on service, reliability, and quality.

This expansion further diversifies Summit's product offerings, introducing new capabilities like seed treaters and center-pivot irrigation systems, with a promise to uphold the high standards Petersen Ag Systems’ customers are accustomed to.
