The organization received a generous donation from Lois Koehler, who served as treasurer for many years.

LaVail Aschoff suggested the organization use two signatures on the local bank account. The new treasurer, Linda Krohn, and membership chairman Chris Adamson will be the two signatures. LaVail will continue as Facebook administrator for the Auxiliary.

Diane Borse stated that the Memorial Day program is set for Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m. Auxiliary members are asked to bring salads and desserts for the meal that follows. The Legion members and Sons of the American Legion will grill hamburgers.

The group voted to increase the amount of stipend to Christalin Ginn, Osmond High School band and music director, for her dedication to the Memorial Day program. All students, band and choir, student speakers and poppy girls, receive a coupon for an ice cream courtesy of Osmond Mini Mart.

The group discussed the poppy fund account and general fund account. Poppy fund donations are accepted each May and 50% of donations are sent to the State of Nebraska for veterans’ needs. There was discussion on why accounts are kept separate.
