Junior high girls’ track team concludes season

This year’s Osmond junior high girls’ track team consisted of eighth graders Ella Klein, Korrine Moes and Adyson Poellot and seventh graders Adalyn Koehler, Kenley Friedrich, Siris Stanton, Katarina Miller, Ava Kumm, Evynn Kumm, Sunny Geneski, Clara Steinkraus and Payton Stech.

This year’s Osmond junior high girls’ track team consisted of eighth graders Ella Klein, Korrine Moes and Adyson Poellot and seventh graders Adalyn Koehler, Kenley Friedrich, Siris Stanton, Katarina Miller, Ava Kumm, Evynn Kumm, Sunny Geneski, Clara Steinkraus and Payton Stech.

The girls competed in a total of six meets this season. Their best placing as a team took place at the Laurel meet where they placed sixth out of 11 teams. They had their best day as a team in Hartington where 13 of the girls earned their personal best.

“This is a great group of girls who worked hard and were a joy to coach every day,” said Coach Jennifer Wiseley.

Place winners for each meet: Neligh — Ella Klein, second in the 100 meters, 14.11; Kenley Friedrich, four in the 100 meters, 15.64; Siris Stanton, sixth in the 400 meters, 1:21.24; Korrine Moes, fifth in the 100 hurdles, 21.19; 4x100 relay team of Ella, Katarina Miller, Kenley and Korrine, second, 58.79; 4x400 relay team of Adyson Poellot, Adalyn Koehler, Sunny Geneski and Ava Kumm, fifth, 5:43.57; Ella, second in the long jump, 13 ft., 07 in.; Korrine, sixth in the long jump, 12 ft., 07 in.; Ella, third in the triple jump, 29 ft.; Korrine, sixth in the triple jump, 26 ft., 6.75 in.; Adyson Poellot, sixth in the shot put, 22 ft., 4 in.

LCC — Kenley, sixth in the 100 meters, 14.58; Korrine, fifth in 100 hurdles, 20.59; 4x100 team, third,
