OSMOND — The Osmond Community School music program presented its annual spring concert on Monday, April 29, with elementary and high school bands and choirs led by Christalin Ginn and Vanessa Steinkraus. Emilee Prince was the piano accompanist for the evening.
The elementary students started off the evening with the fifth grade band playing "Theme From Jurassic Park," "Oompa Loompa" and "Heroes And Glory," followed by the sixth grade band with "Music From Brave," "Let It Go" and "High School Musical.” The fourth graders then showed off their skills on the recorders with two songs, "Ode To Joy" and "Lightly Row."
The kindergarten then led off the vocal portion of the elementary concert with "Car Choir." They were then joined by the first, second and third grades for "Theme From Spider Man." The first through third graders then sang two songs, "We Know The Way" and "Better When I'm Dancin'." The fifth and sixth grade students sang "A Million Dreams,” featuring solos by Harper
Gansebom, Rylan Gansebom, Tucker Thelen and Alyvia Koehler.
The fourth through sixth graders sang three songs: "Happy," "Try Everything," featuring Aubree Erickson, Kayleigh Bolz, Elliot Kumm and Reid Brummels, and "Hallelujah."
The full elementary group concluded their
portion of the evening with "Music Is Essential." After a brief intermission, the junior and senior high bands and choruses performed.
The junior high mixed chorus started out with "S.O.S.," featuring Evynn Kumm and Korrine Moes. They then performed "Blank Space," with solos by Katarina Miller, Adyson Poellot, Kor -
rine Moes, Ava Kumm, Nevaeh Newton, Kenley Friedrich, Ella Klein and Erica Northcutt. Their final song was "Danger Zone."
The high school chorus was up next with
"Waving Through A Window," "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and "When I Was Your Man."
The junior high concert band was up next, with "Dance The Night Away," "You'll Be Back" and "See You Again," the latter featuring Bentley Frank, Trenton Wiseley, the saxophone section, Drake Kingham, Ava Kumm, Sunny Geneski, Evynn Kumm, Katarina Miller, Payton Stech and Adalyn Koehler.
The senior high concert band played "Party In The USA," "Back In Black" and "Pixar Movie Music,” before joining with the junior high band for the big finale, "Guardians Of The Galaxy."
