NIOBRARA — Osmond's lone golf event last week was play at the Niobrara-Verdigre invitational on Wednesday, May 1. The Tigers had two medal winners at the end of the day.
Freshman Kooper Gubbels carded his low round of the year with an 83 and a fifth place overall finish and senior Baylen Guenther played strong with an 85 total and a ninth place finish.
The pair had scores of 39 and 40 through the front nine holes of play to be clubhouse leaders. Summerland High had the individual and team champions Osmond's girl players competed in a two-person scramble. Meagan Wagner and sister Erin Wagner edged Tessa Gardner and fellow senior Caydence Krienert by one stroke.
Osmond has a busy week coming with two invitationals at Wayne CC and at Highland Oaks in Ponca and then wrap up the season with district competition at Hartington.
