15 seniors to graduate from OHS on Saturday

OSMOND – High school careers will come to a close for 15 Osmond High School seniors on Saturday, May 4. Commencement ceremonies will take place in the OHS gym at 2 p.m.

Honor Students Named

Valedictorian of the Class of 2024 is Anna Kahny, daughter of Dwight and Donna Kahny. The salutatorian this year is Erica Heiman, daughter of Dan and Frances Heiman, and ranking third is Baylen Guenther, son of Brian and Tiffany Guenther.

The fourth-ranking senior is Callie Hoffman, daughter of Terry and Kayla Hoffman. Ranking fifth is Owen Severson, son of Matt and Keri Severson, who will deliver the welcome. Sixth-ranking is Anabelle Vinson, who will give the farewell address. Anabelle is the daughter of Nathan and Terin Vinson.

The Program

The processional for the ceremonies will be played by the Osmond High School band, directed by Christalin Ginn.

In addition to addresses by members of the senior class, the program includes presentation ofAmerican Legion Post 326 Awards by Dave Kruse, commander of American Legion Post 326; recognition of departing staff by Superintendent Bremer; and musical selections by the concert band and senior high chorus.

The band will perform “Pilatus: Mountain Of Dragons,” by Steven Reineke. The chorus will perform “How Does A Moment Last Forever,” arranged by Mac Huff.

Presenting the Class of 2024 will be Superintendent Bremer, after which diplomas will be awarded by Board of Education President Mark Moes. The recessional will be presented by members of the graduating class.

Serving as escorts are juniors Erin Wagner and Cody Gansebom.

Senior Selections

The motto chosen by the Class of 2024 is “Success cannot be measured in wealth, fame or power, but by whether you have made a positive difference for others.” — Richard Branson. The class flower is tiger lily, while the chosen colors are orange, black and white. The class sponsor is Kaylen Tunink.
