LINCOLN — The value of egg production in Nebraska during 2023 was $310 million, down from $324 million in 2022, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Egg production in 2023 was estimated at 2.24 billion eggs, up from 1.99 billion eggs the previous year. Average number of layers for 2023 at 7.50 million was up from 6.91 million layers in 2022.
