PIERCE - The 2024 Pierce County Fair is July 24 through July 28. River City Carnival will be returning this year with rides, food, games and ride armbands available. There will be advanced carnival tickets available at the fair office Wednesday and Thursday until they open. We have strived to bring back the events you enjoy and added some new things but moved them around from their typical event time!
Wednesday kicks it all off which is entry day so make plans now to see all the 4-H shows and plan what you could enter in open class! Anyone can enter in open class. Team roping returns this year at 5 p.m. for youth and adult and it is still a free night.
See a full day of 4-H livestock judging shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday morning will be a free breakfast sponsored by Michael’s Foods and then Thursday evening is the Outlaw Truck & Tractor Associa tion tractor pull at 7 p.m.!
Friday is a free breakfast sponsored by Farmers Pride and the demolition derby on its new night at 7:30 p.m. which will include Limited Weld, 90's & Newer, Mini-Vans, Bonestock, and Bonestock Pickup classes. Wreckless Promotions is the new officials so check their site for rules. Get your kids involved with their power wheels! They will have an opportunity for their own heat. Stick around again with Union Township in the beer garden to close out the night.
Saturday is a full day of events with mud volleyball, more 4-H action, and Donkey Polo at 4 p.m. for a new event.
This will be limited to eight teams and be a double elimination event.
The Pierce FFA chapter will be hosting a rib fest cookoff with cookers starting that morning right on the track and then serving the public at 3 p.m. until the food is gone. Come support the FFA and stick around for the events!
Double S Extreme Bulls will again bring you Extreme Bull Riding at 8 p.m. with a minimum of 30 bull rides PLUS Barrel Racing and Mut - ton Bustin' for a full show. Union Township will close out the night in the beer garden.
Sunday is the kid’s pedal pull at noon and Double S Extreme Bulls will return with Extreme Bull Fighting at 6:30 p.m. on a new night! This is a point driven physical contest between
a b ull and bullfighter. The more style, control, and closer they are to the bull, the more points they will earn for an exciting show PLUS Jr. Bulls, Jr. Ponies, and Mutton Bustin'!
HornT Zoo will return but this year he is bringing a petting zoo which will be open all the fair days and Colors Da Clown will be there with balloons and face painting for the kids Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The Pierce Legion Post will again be hosting bingo in the Pavilion Thursday through Sunday.
