NELIGH — The annual ESU 8 Art Show was held April 4-8 in Neligh. The show was a testament to the boundless potential of young artists with more than 632 visitors taking in the artwork during the five day span.
The high school show was judged by Jerene Kruse of Albion, while the K-8 show was judged by Rebecca Munson of Norfolk.
Students from Osmond Community School who exhibited artwork included: Xander Brown,Anna Kahny, Erica Heiman, Cody Gansebom, Caydence Krienert, Baylen Guenther, Owen Severson, Matthew Alderson, Hunter Buchanan, Dominic True, Nicolas Velasco-Morales, Callie Hoffman, Ella Klein, Korrine Moes, Adyson Poellot, and Easton Steinkraus.
Anna Kahny of Osmond received the Outstanding Merit HS for acrylics Other award winners from the show included: Best of Show K-4 - Aiden Cheetsos, Norfolk Catholic, Painting Best of Show 5-8 - Mya Martinez, Norfolk Junior High, Mixed Media Best of Show HS - Maddux Alder, Stuart, Animation Best of Show HS - Caydence Schumacher, Summerland, Portrait Outstanding Merit HS - Brooklyn Eckert, Boyd County, Portrait Outstanding Merit HS - Dylon Lueking, Elgin Public, Acrylic Outstanding Merit HS - Montana Howard, Elkhorn Valley, Pencil Outstanding Merit HS - Daleni Knust, West Holt, Charcoal Outstanding Merit HS - Marian Strom, Boyd County, Hand-Built Pottery Outstanding Merit HS - Peyton Remm, Stanton, Printmaking Outstanding Merit HS - Miley A. Winer, West Holt, Hand-Built Pottery This was the last art show of the year for students from Osmond Community School. As the Osmond community celebrates the achievements of its young artists, let us also look forward to their continued growth and exploration of their artistic endeavors in the years to come.
